BOMANI M. HOWZE, MBA

Bomani M. Howze is President & CEO of OLMEC Development Company. OLMEC Development focuses on multifamily affordable housing, mixed use and commercial office space.

Since 2005, Mr. Howze has consistently played a leadership role for the development of the 28 acre site in Pittsburgh’s Lower Hill district. The project calls for 1,200 residential units, 1.2M SF of office space, a 400 room hotel, 250K SF of entertainment and retail, and 3.4 acres of open park space dedicated to the African-American history and legacy of the Hill district.

In 2015, Mr. Howze helped to secure an award of 500 residential, mixed income units in Pittsburgh’s Lower Hill District.

In 2021, Mr. Howze also played a key administrative role in the recent commencement of construction for the 26 story, 460,00 SF, FNB Financial Center.

A core commitment has been dedicated to pulling financial resources to building capacity of African-American, minority and women owned businesses. To date, of the contracts valued at $100.5M, there are commitments for $35.4M in contracts for MBEs (representing 35% of the total to date) and $24M in construction procurement for African-American contractors.

Bomani holds a B.S. in Education from Norfolk State University as well as an MBA from Point Park University.
